Cassell McLeod is a boutique operations and automation consultancy. The name comes from ours.
Why we exist
We started this because we genuinely like learning. Every business runs differently — different people, different problems, different constraints. That variety isn’t something we tolerate, it’s the reason we do this. We wanted to build something where no two engagements are the same, where we’re always inside a new operation figuring out how to make it run better.
The businesses we work with are excited about what’s coming, not afraid of it. That energy matters to us.
Who we are
Founder
SUNY Albany — Cybersecurity & Accounting. Louis has implemented workflow and automation systems inside real estate development at ZD Jasper, private equity fund administration at GP Fund Solutions, and state-level infrastructure work at the NYS Division of Homeland Security. Equally comfortable in the backend and the books.
Co-Founder & Lead Engineer
Harvard CS. Software engineering at Microsoft. Kevin has hands-on experience in private equity fund administration at GP Fund Solutions, bringing both the technical depth and the operational context that most engineers don’t have. He builds the systems — and understands the business they’re built for.
Our clients
There are businesses that resist change and businesses that are ready for it. We work with the second kind. Not just owners — the team members and workers who are curious, willing, and ready for things to get better. We’re not here to replace anyone’s job. We’re here to make those jobs less frustrating and give the business back the time it’s been losing.
How we think about this
This stays small on purpose. A tight roster of businesses we actually know, relationships strong enough that we’re not just a vendor — we’re the people they call. We’d rather have fifteen clients we genuinely care about than a hundred we barely know. The goal isn’t scale for its own sake. It’s doing great work with people we respect, and building something we’re proud of.
Our approach
We do not come in with a product to sell you. We come in to understand your business first. Every solution we build is custom because your operation is not the same as anyone else’s.
And when the work is done, we leave. No dependency, no lock-in — just a system your team can run on their own.
